Inspection

  1. The windshield defroster switch inputs can be checked using the GDS.
  2. To inspect the input value of the windshield de-icer switch, select the "Body Control Module" option.
  3. Select the "Smart Junction Box Current Data" option.
  4. To inspect the input value of the windshield de-icer switch in forced mode, select the "Smart Junction Box Operation Test" option.

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the heater and A/C control unit. (Refer to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - "Heater and A/C Control Unit (Manual)".) (Refer to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - "Heater and A/C Control Unit (DATC)".)

Installation

  1. Install the heater and A/C control unit.
  2. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
