Headlamp Aim

Headlamp Aiming Instructions: Headlamps must be aimed using proper beam aiming equipment, and in accordance with the equipment manufacturer's instructions.Turn the adjusting mechanism alternately to adjust the headlamp aim. If beam setting equipment is not available, proceed as follows:

   Inflate the tires to the specified pressure and remove any loads from the vehicle except the driver, spare tire, and tools.

   The vehicle must be on a level floor.

   Draw vertical lines (vertical lines passing through the respective headlamp centers) and a horizontal line (horizontal line passing through the headlamp centers) on the screen.

   When the headlamps and battery are in normal condition, aim the headlamp so that the brightest part falls on the vertical lines. A: High – Vertical B: Low – Horizontal C: Low – Vertical [General type]

Front Fog Lamp Aiming: Front fog lamps must be aimed in the same way as the headlamps. Under normal conditions of the front fog lamps and battery, aim the front fog lamps by turning the adjusting mechanism (A).

Headlamp and Fog Lamp Aiming Point

   Turn on the low beam with the driver seated in the vehicle. The light-dark boundary line should project within the allowable range shown in the illustration. For vehicles equipped with manual leveling, set the leveling switch to position "0". For vehicles equipped with automatic leveling, perform initialization with the diagnostic tester before aiming.

   Turn on the front fog lamps with the driver seated in the vehicle. The light-dark boundary line should project within the allowable range shown in the illustration.
