Removal of Fuel Tank Air Filter

Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.

Raise the vehicle.

Disconnect the canister close valve connector (A).

Disconnect the quick-connect fitting (B) of the vent hose from the fuel tank, the fuel tank air filter and the canister close valve.

Disconnect the quick-connect fitting of the vapor tube (A).

Remove the canister mounting bracket (D) after removing the bolts (B) and nut (C).

Remove the canister bracket setting bolt (A) from the canister bracket (B).

Remove the fuel tank air filter and canister close valve assembly (A) by turning it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

Release the lever (A), then disconnect the canister close valve (B) from the fuel tank air filter (C) by turning it in the direction of the arrow in the illustration.
