[EVAP Leak Test]

The Engine Control Module (ECM) controls the Purge Control Solenoid Valve (PCSV) and the Canister Close Valve (CCV) to diagnose the EVAP system when the conditions are met. The ECM displays DTCs after checking the leak level by detecting changes in the FTPS signal. (Refer to the DTC Troubleshooting Manual for DTC information.) In addition, an EVAP leak can be checked using the EVAP Leak Test function of the GDS diagnostic tool, as shown below.

   Turn the ignition off.

   Connect the GDS to the Data Link Connector (DLC).

   Start the engine.

   Select "Vehicle, Model Year, Engine, System".

   Select "Vehicle Software Management".

   Select "Check/Test".

   Select "EVAP Leak Test."

   Perform the procedure according to the message.
