Description

The hydraulic system consists of fluid, oil filter, oil pump, and valve body (valves and solenoid valves). The oil pump is driven by the engine. ATF passes through the oil filter and is distributed through the oil passages. The fluid is under high pressure when it leaves the oil pump and passes through the line pressure valve before being supplied to the clutch and brake control valves, clutches, and brakes. The TCM controls hydraulic pressure using the solenoid valves and controls the operation of the clutches and brakes.
