  1. Turn the ignition OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the ECM connector (A).
  3. Remove the battery. (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery")
  4. Remove the air cleaner assembly. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")
  5. Remove the mounting bolt (A) and nuts (B), then remove the ECM (C).
  6. Remove the mounting nuts and bolts (B), then remove the engine control module (C) from the bracket.
