  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Using a screwdriver or a pry tool, remove the driver side cover of the crash pad side cover.
  3. Loosen the mounting screws, then remove the lower protector panel (A).
  4. Press the stopper pin (B), then disconnect the diagnostic connector (C).
  5. Loosen the mounting bolts, then remove the reinforcement panel (A).
  6. Loosen the screw, then remove the driver side shower duct.
  7. Disconnect the connector, then remove the mode control actuator (A) after loosening the mounting screws.
  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
