Diagnosis Using GDS

  1. The BCM can be diagnosed using GDS. The BCM communicates with GDS, which then displays input and output data along with codes. It can quickly diagnose power door lock/unlock defects with GDS. GDS can forcibly operate the actuator, monitor input/output values and perform self-diagnosis.
  2. To diagnose the SJB function, select the vehicle model, BCM and DDM.
  3. Select "I/O Monitor" to check current data of the power door lock system. This menu displays the input/output status of the DDM.
  4. To perform a functional check of the SJB outputs, select "Actuation Test".

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the front door trim panel. (Refer to Body - "Front Door Trim")
  3. Remove the power window switch assembly (A) by loosening the mounting screws (8EA).
  4. Remove the power window switch (A) after loosening the mounting screws (4EA).

Installation

  1. Install the power window switch assembly.
  2. Install the front door trim after connecting the connector.
