Window Safety Force Function

When the driver's door window auto-up switch is operated, the safety function is active.
  1. Safety Function Condition: When a force of 100 N (using a 10 N/mm spring) is detected while the window is closing, the window reverses.
  2. Window reverse distance (except when holding the auto-up switch)
    • When a pinch is detected at a distance of 4–250 mm from the top of the door. → The window reverses to 300 mm from the top of the door.
    • When a pinch is detected at a distance of more than 250 mm from the top of the door. → The window reverses to 20 mm from the pinch position.
  3. Window reverse distance (holding the auto-up switch)
    • When a pinch is detected while holding the auto-up switch: the window reverses to 25 mm from the pinch position.
    • The auto-up function is unavailable for 5 seconds under the above condition. → When the auto-up switch is held, the window operates as a manual function. (The safety function is not activated.)
    • When the auto-up switch is held for 5 seconds from the above condition. → The window reverses to 25 mm from the pinch position.
  4. Safety function not available. The safety function is not available within 4 mm from the top of the door.
  5. Battery Connection Initialization: When battery power has been disconnected for more than 5 minutes, the power window safety switch must be initialized.
    1. Window Operation Before Initialization
      • Manual up/down function is available.
      • Auto-up function is unavailable. (When the auto-up/down switch is held, the window operates as manual up/down.)
    2. Initialization Method: Close the window from the open position, and hold the switch in the fully closed position of the window for 2 seconds. (If the window closing is started from the fully closed position, initialization may fail.)
    3. If the power window safety function is initialized while the window is pinched, the following conditions may occur.
      • Safety Function Not Available
  6. Fail-Safe Mode Initialization
    1. If the window is forced to move and the motor is faulty, the window switch may enter fail-safe mode to ensure user safety.
    2. Power Window Operation in Fail-Safe Mode
      • Auto/Manual-Down function is available.
      • Auto/Manual-Up function unavailable (With auto/manual up, the glass rises 20 mm and stops moving.)
