Inspection

Front Power Window Motor Inspection
  1. Remove the front door trim panel. (Refer to Body - "Front Door Trim")
  2. Disconnect the connector from the motor.
  3. Connect the No. 2 and No. 3 motor terminals directly to battery voltage (12 V) and check that the motor operates smoothly. If operation is abnormal, replace the motor. [Safety Window]
  4. Connect the motor terminals directly to battery voltage (12 V) and check that the motor operates smoothly. Then reverse the polarity and check that the motor operates smoothly in the reverse direction. If operation is abnormal, replace the motor.
  5. Remove the rear door trim panel. (Refer to Body - "Rear Door Trim")
  6. Disconnect the connector from the motor.
  7. Connect the motor terminals directly to battery voltage (12 V) and check that the motor operates smoothly. Then reverse the polarity and check that the motor operates smoothly in the reverse direction. If operation is abnormal, replace the motor.
