Removal

  1. Remove the lower covers.
  2. Drain the engine oil.
  3. Using SST (09215-3C000), remove the oil pan.

Installation

  1. Install the oil pan.
    1. Using a razor blade and a gasket scraper, remove all old sealant material from the gasket surfaces.
    2. Apply liquid gasket in an even bead along the center between the edges of the mating surface.

      Liquid gasket: TB 1217H or LOCTITE 5900H

    3. Install the oil pan (A) with the bolts. Tighten the bolts evenly in several passes.

      Tightening torque: 9.8 ~ 11.8 N·m

  2. Refill with engine oil. Total capacity: 4 L (4.22 US qt, 3.51 Imp. qt, 1.05 US gal) Oil pan: 3.3 L (3.48 US qt, 2.90 Imp. qt, 0.87 US gal) Drain and refill, including oil filter: 3.6 L (3.80 US qt, 3.16 Imp. qt, 0.95 US gal)
  3. Installation is the reverse of removal.
