Replacement

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery and wait at least 30 seconds.
  2. Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels point straight ahead.
  3. Remove the airbag module.
  4. Disconnect the connector and the lock nut (A), then remove the steering wheel (B) using the special service tool (09561-11001).

    Tightening torque: 39.2 ~ 44 N·m

  5. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Disassembly

  1. Loosen the screw (A-3ea) and remove the lower cover (B) from the steering wheel.

    Tightening torque: 7.8 ~ 11.8 N·m

  2. Remove the garnish (A).
  3. Remove the wiring (A).
  4. Loosen the screws (A-6ea), then remove the remote control switch assembly (B) from the garnish.

    Tightening torque: 7.8 ~ 11.8 N·m

  5. Installation is the reverse of removal.
