Description
The steering wheel heater has an internal heating element that maintains the steering wheel temperature at a constant level in cold weather. The heating element is built into the steering wheel rim to maximize comfort in cold weather. The steering wheel heater system will not operate when the ambient temperature is above the system's set temperature. The steering wheel heater element is connected through the wiring harness and controlled by the electronic control module. The control module responds to the change in resistance of the temperature sensor (negative temperature coefficient - NTC thermistor), which is in direct contact with the steering wheel heating element.
