The airbag warning light on the instrument panel is designed to warn you of a potential problem with your airbag system, which may involve your side and/or curtain airbags used for rollover protection.

Have the system checked by an authorized Kia dealer if:

  • The airbag warning light does not come on briefly when the ignition switch is turned to ON.
  • The airbag warning light remains on for approximately 6 seconds.
  • The airbag warning light comes on while the vehicle is being driven.
