Head Restraint (for Front Seat)

The driver's and front passenger's seats are equipped with headrests for occupant safety and comfort.
In addition to providing comfort for the driver and front passenger, the headrest also helps protect the head and neck in the event of a collision.
For maximum effectiveness in the event of an accident, adjust the head restraint so that the center of the head restraint is level with the center of gravity of the occupant's head. In general, the center of gravity of most people's head is at the height of the top of their eyes. Also adjust the head restraint as close to the head as possible.
For this reason, using a cushion that keeps the body away from the seatback is not recommended.
WARNING - Headrest Removal/Adjustment
- Do not drive the vehicle with the headrests removed. Headrests may provide critical neck and head support in a crash.
- Do not adjust the headrest height while the vehicle is moving. The driver may lose control of the vehicle.
