As a reminder to the driver, the driver's unbuckled seat belt indicator will illuminate and the warning chime will sound for approximately 6 seconds each time the ignition is turned ON, regardless of whether the seat belt is buckled.

If the driver's seat belt is not buckled when the ignition key is turned ON, or if it is unbuckled after the ignition is turned ON, the seat belt warning light will remain illuminated until the seat belt is buckled.

If you continue to not wear your seat belt and drive faster than 9 km/h, the warning light will illuminate.

If you continue to not wear your seat belt and drive faster than 20 km/h, the unbuckled seat belt warning chime will sound for approximately 100 seconds and the corresponding warning light will flash.

If you unfasten your seat belt at speeds below 20 km/h, the seat belt warning light will remain on until the seat belt is fastened.
