To fasten the seat belt

Position the lap belt as low as possible, but not over the abdomen, then adjust the shoulder belt so it fits snugly against the body.

To unfasten the seat belt

Press the seat belt buckle release button. If a seat belt does not retract fully, check whether it is twisted or kinked. Then make sure it does not twist as it retracts.

If a seat belt does not retract fully, check whether it is twisted or kinked. If it still does not retract properly, have it inspected by an authorized Mazda dealer.
