Towing overview
In this manual: If Trouble Occurs
~1min read
We recommend contacting an authorized Mazda dealer or a professional towing service when towing is necessary.
A proper lifting and towing method is required to avoid damaging the vehicle. All government and local laws must be observed.
A vehicle should generally be towed with the driving wheels (front wheels) raised off the ground. If this is not possible due to excessive damage or other conditions, use dollies.

When towing with the rear wheels on the ground, release the parking brake.
WARNING
- Do not tow the vehicle backward with the driving wheels on the ground. This may damage the transmission.

- Do not use cable-type towing equipment. This may damage the vehicle.
