Cleaning the display

For cleaning, do not use

• thinners containing alcohol or petrol
• abrasive cleaning products
• commercial household cleaners

They may damage the surface of the display. When cleaning, do not apply any pressure to the display. This may cause irreversible damage to the display.

• For cleaning, make sure the display is switched off and cold.
• Clean the display with a microfibre cloth and a commercial cleaner for TFT/LCD screens.
• Wipe the display with a dry microfibre cloth.

Cleaning the plastic trim

WARNING

To clean the driver's area and the steering wheel padding, do not use cleaning products containing solvents or aerosol cockpit sprays. Products containing solvents make the surfaces porous, and pieces of plastic may detach if the airbags deploy, causing serious injury.

Never attach anything to plastic surfaces, such as

• stickers
• films
• air fresheners or similar

Otherwise, you may damage the plastic.

Avoid contact of cosmetics, insect repellents and sun cream with plastic trim. This will preserve its appearance.

• Clean the plastic trim with a damp, lint-free cloth (e.g. microfibre).
• Heavy soiling: for care, use the care and cleaning products recommended and approved by Mercedes-Benz.

The surface may temporarily discolour. Wait until the surface is dry again.

Cleaning the steering wheel and gear lever/selector lever

• Wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth or use a leather care product recommended and approved by Mercedes-Benz.

Cleaning the wood trim and decorative inserts

Do not use cleaning products containing solvents, such as tar removers or wheel rim cleaners, nor polish or wax. Otherwise the surface may be damaged.

• Clean the wood trim and decorative inserts with a damp, lint-free cloth (e.g. microfibre).
• Heavy soiling: for care, use the care and cleaning products recommended and approved by Mercedes-Benz.

Cleaning the upholstery

When cleaning, observe the following notes:

• Carefully clean the leather trim with a damp cloth and wipe dry with a dry cloth. Leather must not absorb water. Otherwise it may become stiff or crack. For care, use the leather care products recommended by Mercedes-Benz. You can obtain them from a qualified workshop.
• Clean imitation leather trim with a cloth dampened with a 1% soap solution (e.g. dishwashing liquid).
• Clean fabric upholstery with a microfiber cloth dampened with a 1% soap solution (dish detergent, for example). Rub gently and always treat the entire surface of the relevant upholstery to avoid marks. Then let the seat dry. The result depends on the type and age of the stains.
• Clean Alcantara® upholstery with a damp cloth. Treat the entire surface of the relevant upholstery to avoid marks.

To clean leather, imitation leather or Alcantara® trim, do not use microfibre cloths. With frequent use they may damage the covering. Note that regular care is required to preserve the appearance and feel of the trim over the long term.

Cleaning the seat belts

Do not clean seat belts with chemical cleaning products. Do not dry seat belts at temperatures above 80 °Cor expose them directly
to sunlight.

• Use clear lukewarm water and soapy water.

Cleaning the headliner and carpet

• Headliner: in case of heavy soiling, use a soft brush or a cleaning product recommended and approved by Mercedes-Benz.
• Carpet: use a carpet and textile upholstery cleaner recommended and approved by Mercedes-Benz.
