MOExtended tires (tires suitable for driving on a flat tire)

WARNING

While driving with the run-flat system, the vehicle's handling deteriorates (for example when cornering, under heavy acceleration or when braking). There is a risk of an accident.

Do not exceed the maximum speed indicated. Avoid changes of direction and sudden manoeuvres, as well as driving over obstacles (kerbs, potholes, off-road driving). This applies in particular when the vehicle is loaded.

Do not continue driving with the run-flat system if

• you hear dull knocking noises
• the vehicle starts to vibrate
• smoke is emitted or a smell of rubber is present
• ESP® is constantly intervening
• cracks appear on the tyre sidewalls

After driving with the run-flat system, have the wheels checked by a qualified workshop. In all cases, the defective tyre must be replaced.

MOExtended tyres (suitable for run-flat driving) allow you to continue your journey even when one or more tyres are completely deflated.

Use MOExtended tyres only when the tyre pressure loss warning is activated.

The distance that can be travelled is approximately 80 km when the vehicle is partially loaded and approximately 30 km when the vehicle is loaded to its maximum.

In addition to the vehicle's load condition, the distance that can be travelled with the run-flat system depends on the following factors:

• Speed
• Road condition
• Outside temperature

The distance that can be travelled with the run-flat system may decrease if the vehicle is subjected to high loads or sudden manoeuvres, but it may also increase if you adopt a moderate driving style.

The maximum distance that can still be travelled with the run-flat system is calculated from the moment a tyre pressure loss warning message appears on the multifunction display.

Do not drive faster than 80 km/h.

When replacing one or more tyres, make sure to fit only tyres marked “MOExtended”. Also make sure to fit tyres of the size specified for the vehicle. As delivered from the factory, vehicles equipped with MOExtended tyres do not have the TIREFIT tyre sealant kit. If you fit tyres to your vehicle that are not suitable for run-flat driving (winter tyres, for example), also equip it with a TIREFIT tyre sealant kit. You can obtain a TIREFIT tyre sealant kit from a qualified workshop, for example.
