Front airbags
In the event of a frontal collision, the system protects the head and chest of the driver and the front passenger.
The driver's airbag is located in the centre of the steering wheel, while the front passenger airbag is located in the dashboard above the glovebox.

Activation
The airbags deploy simultaneously, unless the front passenger airbag is deactivated, in the event of a severe frontal impact affecting all or part of the front zone A, in line with the vehicle's longitudinal axis, in the horizontal plane and from the front to the rear of the vehicle.
The airbag inflates between the occupants of the front seats and the dashboard to cushion forward movement.
Deactivation
Only the front passenger airbag can be deactivated:
- with the ignition switched off, insert the key into the front passenger airbag switch 1,
- turn the key to the "OFF" position,
- then remove the key without changing its position.

Depending on the vehicle version,
this warning lamp lights up in the instrument panel or on the centre panel when the ignition is switched on and remains lit for as long as the airbag is deactivated.
Otherwise, the child will be exposed to serious injury or death when the passenger airbag deploys.
Reactivation
After removing the child seat, turn switch 1 to the "ON" position to reactivate the front passenger airbag.
Malfunction
If this warning lamp lights up in the
instrument panel, an audible signal sounds and a message appears on the multifunction display, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop to have the system checked. The airbags may not deploy in the event of a severe impact.
Have the system checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
