  • Connect the red cable to the (+) terminal of the discharged battery A , then to the (+) terminal of the booster battery B .

  • Connect one end of the green or black cable to the (-) terminal of the booster battery B .
  • Connect the other end of the green or black cable to a remote earthing point on the vehicle.
  • Start the good vehicle's engine.
  • Operate the starter of the vehicle with the faulty battery; do not switch off the engine.
  • Wait until the engine returns to idle speed, then disconnect the cables.

To charge the battery with a battery charger:

  • Disconnect the battery,
  • Follow the battery charger manufacturer's instructions,
  • Connect starting with the (-) terminal,
  • Check the terminals. If they are covered with sulphate (whitish or greenish deposit), remove them and clean them.
