The vehicle is fitted with a mechanical device that prevents petrol from being put into the tank of a diesel-engined vehicle. It also protects the engine from damage associated with this type of incident.

It is located at the filler neck and is visible once the cap has been removed.

Operation

When the petrol pump nozzle is inserted into a diesel tank, it rests against the flap. The system remains closed and prevents refuelling.

Do not attempt to refuel and insert a diesel nozzle.

Refuelling from a fuel can is possible.

To allow the fuel to flow freely, position the can spout near the device flap without pressing it directly against the flap.

Travelling abroadDiesel fuel pump nozzles may differ depending on the country. The misfuelling prevention system may prevent the fuel tank from being filled.

Before travelling abroad, we recommend contacting a PEUGEOT dealer to find out whether the vehicle is suitable for the fuel pumps in that country.
