Front and rear graphic and audible parking assistance

This system consists of proximity sensors:

• four in the front bumper,

and

• four in the rear bumper.

It detects any obstacle (person, vehicle, tree, barrier, etc.) located in front of or behind the vehicle. However, it cannot detect obstacles located just below the bumper.

An object such as a post, a roadworks marker or any similar object may be detected at the start of the maneuver, but may no longer be detected when the vehicle is close to it.

To ensure optimal operation in wet or wintry weather, make sure the sensors are not covered by mud, frost or snow.

The system activates as soon as:

• you engage reverse gear,
• the speed is below 10 km/h in forward gear.

It is accompanied by an audible signal and/or a display on the vehicle's multifunction screen.

The system deactivates if the vehicle remains stationary for more than 3 seconds.

Proximity information is given by:

• an audible signal, which becomes faster as the vehicle gets closer to the obstacle,
• a graphic on the multifunction screen, with blocks getting closer to the vehicle.

The obstacle's location is determined by the sound emitted from the speakers, i.e. front or rear and right or left.

When the vehicle/obstacle distance is less than approximately thirty centimeters, the audible signal becomes continuous and/or the "Danger" symbol appears on the multifunction screen.

The system becomes inactive again:

• when you leave reverse gear,
• when the speed is above 10 km/h,
• at the end of the maneuver, when stationary, after a few seconds (front parking aid only).

Deactivation

Press button A to deactivate the system (e.g. sleeping child in the rear...). The button indicator lights up.

Note: this function will be automatically deactivated when a trailer is hitched (vehicle fitted with a towing bracket recommended by PEUGEOT).

Reactivation

Press button A again to reactivate the system. The button indicator goes out.

In the event of a malfunction, when reverse gear is engaged, the indicator flashes, accompanied by an audible signal and a message on the multifunction screen.
