"AIR-BAG" CUSHION AND PRETENSIONERS

IMPORTANT: all work on AIR-BAG systems and pretensioners must be carried out by qualified, trained personnel.

It is IMPERATIVE to refer to the AIR-BAG manual, chapter 88.

WARNING: when working under the vehicle, do not transmit shocks to the floor pan without first removing the pretensioner fuse, and wait 5 minutes for the reserve capacitor to discharge.

Sécurité

After each removal of the steering wheel, the steering wheel bolt (A) MUST be replaced.

Refer to chapters 88 and 57A.

IMPORTANT: whenever the steering wheel is removed, it is IMPERATIVE to disconnect the AIR-BAG cushion connector (B).

The AIR-BAG cushion is fitted with a connector that short-circuits when disconnected, to prevent accidental deployment.

HEAT SHIELDS

They must be refitted, whether during mechanical or bodywork operations.

TIGHTENING TORQUES

It is IMPERATIVE to observe the specified tightening torques.

PRODUCTS

Read the precautions for use of the products carefully and observe safety instructions, using the appropriate equipment (gloves, mask, etc.).
