Tightening torques
glow plugs 1.5 daN.m

The resistance of a glow plug is 0.6 Ω (connector disconnected).

The glow plugs can be removed without opening the high-pressure diesel circuit.

REMOVAL

  • Disconnect the battery.
  • Remove the engine covers.

  • Disconnect the air duct.

  • Unclip the glow plug electrical connectors.
  • Clean around the glow plugs to prevent any debris from entering the cylinders.
  • Loosen then remove the glow plugs using a 10 mm long socket with a universal joint.
  • Use an extension to fully unscrew the glow plugs.

INSTALLATION

WARNING

Avoid any contamination entering the cylinder during this operation.

  • Refit in the reverse order of removal.
  • Tighten the glow plugs to torque (1.5 daN.m).
WARNING

Connect the battery; carry out the necessary re-learns (see Electrical Equipment chapter).
