The diaphragm (1) of the boost pressure control valve is controlled by a solenoid valve (2) driven by the injection computer. Depending on the engine operating ranges, this solenoid valve varies the vacuum that regulates the boost pressure.
The boost pressure control valve is open at rest. The engine then runs in naturally aspirated mode.
The solenoid valve, closed at rest, is powered after engine start, after a delay that varies with coolant temperature.
