BOOST PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE
F9Q
1 - Check

- Remove the turbocharger (see Turbocharging chapter).
- Use a magnetic base fitted with a dial gauge positioned at the end of the control valve rod (as far as possible in line with the rod).
- Gradually apply increasing vacuum to the control valve using the gauge (Tool 1014).
2 - Value
- For a vacuum value of 265 mbar, the rod travel must be between 0.5 and 3.5 mm.
- For a vacuum value above 600 mbar, the rod is at its stop.
3 - Adjustment

- Loosen the locknut (2).
- Adjust by turning the knob (3) in half-turn steps, clockwise or counterclockwise, until the correct calibration pressure is obtained.
- Turn the knob to increase the calibration pressure.
- Turn the knob to decrease the calibration pressure.
Note: Check the setting after tightening the locknut (2).
- Confirm the repair with a road test, checking the "boost pressure control valve duty cycle" and "boost pressure" parameters on the diagnostic tool.
K9K
- Boost pressure adjustment is not possible
