System operation and circuit allocation

System operation

Manual air conditioning has no control unit. It consists only of a control panel that requests compressor operation, managed by the Protection and Switching Unit and the injection system; activation of the cabin heating resistors, managed by the Cabin Central Unit with authorization from the Protection and Switching Unit and the injection system; or activation of rear defrost, managed by the Protection and Switching Unit, as explained in the operating block diagram of the air conditioning function in chapter 62A.

Using control cables, this panel also controls the air distribution, air mix and recirculation flaps, as well as the speed of the blower motor assembly, via a wired link and a resistor box.
