The opening control system on keyless vehicles consists of:
- of the Passenger Compartment Central Unit (with radio frequency receiver),
- of specific cards in "standard" and "hands-free" versions,
- an uncoded card holder (transponder receiver),
- door locking/unlocking motors (integrated into the locks),
- of specific receiving antennas in the outer door handles and in the tailgate ("hands-free" version),
- of presence and movement sensors ("hands-free" version),
- of specific door locks for the child safety and deadlock functions (depending on version),
- locking buttons in the exterior door handles.

STANDARD OPERATION

HANDS-FREE OPERATION

SPECIAL CASES WHEN THE CARD BATTERY IS FAULTY
Unlocking the vehicle:

Locking the vehicle:

Special cases in "standard" mode:
- If an opening panel (boot or door) is open, pressing a "lock" button causes immediate locking and unlocking of the opening panels.
- If a card is in the card holder, pressing a "lock" button causes immediate locking and unlocking of the opening panels.
- The fuel filler flap is operated in parallel with the driver's door.
Special cases in "hands-free" mode:
- The starting antennas have no effect on unlocking the vehicle. However, it is impossible to lock the vehicle using the "lock" buttons on the outer door handles if the card is within the starting zone.
- Motion sensors are integrated into the presence sensors. The presence sensors stop working after a time delay of approximately 72 hours.
- Hands-free locking is impossible if a card is detected by the starting antennas.
- If the vehicle is locked using the card's "lock" button, cards inside the passenger compartment (detected by the starting antennas) are disabled in "hands-free" mode (locking, unlocking and starting). Starting remains possible by inserting the card into the card holder.
- Hands-free unlocking is impossible for 3 seconds after locking ("standard" or "hands-free").
- Engine starting is impossible in "hands-free" mode if the boot is open.
Special cases when the card battery is faulty:
If the battery of the "standard" or "hands-free" card is faulty, the left-hand door can be opened with the emergency key. The other opening panels can be opened and the engine started by inserting the card into the card holder.
