Component Location

The windshield de-icing system prevents the wiper blades from freezing during winter. It consists of a de-icer at the lower part of the windshield, a switch, and a relay. The BCM receives input from the front heater switch and then controls the relay. When the front heater switch is turned on and the engine is running with generator output, the de-icer operates for a maximum of 20 minutes.
