Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the under cover.
  2. Remove the oil drain plug and drain the oil into a container.
  3. Remove the oil pressure switch (A).

    Tightening torque: 7.8 ~ 11.7 N·m

  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Inspection

  1. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between the terminal and the body. If there is no continuity, replace the oil pressure sensor.
  2. Check the continuity between the terminal and the body while pressing the thin wire. If there is continuity even when the thin wire is pressed, replace the switch.
  3. If there is no continuity when a pressure of 49.0 kPa (0.5 kgf/cm², 7.1 psi) is applied through the oil port, the switch is operating normally. Check for air leakage. If air leaks, the diaphragm is damaged. Replace it.
