Wiper lever operation

To operate the wipers, operate the lever as follows.

   Off
2. 2
   Windshield wiper intermittent operation
3. 3
   Windshield wiper low speed operation
4. 4
   Windshield wiper high speed operation
5. 5
   Temporary operation

   Wiper-linked washer operation: The wipers will automatically make a few sweeps after the washer sprays fluid.

■ The windshield wiper and washer can be operated when

Vehicles without smart entry & start system The key in the ignition switch is in the "ON" position.

Vehicles with smart entry & start system The engine switch is in IGNITION ON mode.

■ If no windshield washer fluid is sprayed Check that the washer nozzles are not clogged, and that there is washer fluid in the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

WARNING

■ Caution when using washer fluid In cold weather, do not use the washer fluid until the windshield has warmed up. The fluid could freeze on the windshield and reduce visibility. This could cause an accident resulting in serious injury or death.

NOTE

■ When the windshield is dry Do not operate the wipers, as this may damage the windshield.

■ When the washer fluid reservoir is empty Do not operate the switch continuously, as the washer fluid pump may overheat.

■ To prevent battery discharge With the engine off, do not leave the wipers operating longer than necessary.
