INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT FRAME WITH ADJUSTER LH

(a) Check operation of the seat frame (slide motor).

(1) w/ Memory:

Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

OK:

Condition

Operational Direction

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4

Forward

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3

(Slide Motor (Front Seat Frame with Adjuster LH)

If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat frame with adjuster LH.

(2) w/o Memory:

Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

OK:

Condition

Operational Direction

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

Forward

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1

(b) Check operation of the seat frame (front vertical motor).

(1) Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the front vertical motor connector terminals.

OK:

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2

(Front Vertical Motor (Front Seat Frame with Adjuster LH)

If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat frame with adjuster LH.

(c) Check operation of the seat frame (reclining motor).

(1) Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals.

(d) Check operation of the seat frame (lifter motor).

(1) Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the lifter motor connector terminals.

2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT FRAME WITH ADJUSTER RH

(a) Check operation of the seat frame (slide motor).

(1) Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

OK:

Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1

Forward

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
