Torque wrench -V.A.G 1410-
Removing and installing wiper motor -V-

Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-

Note If the wiper motor -V- with the wiper motor control unit -J400- is to be renewed, start the respective function → Vehicle diagnostic tester. The removal and installation procedures are described for LHD vehicles. Removal and installation for RHD vehicles are similar.

Removing

  • Removing wiper arms → Chapter.
  • Remove left plenum chamber cover → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.50.
Removing and installing wiper motor -V-
  • Remove bolts -1, 3, 4-.
  • Disconnect electrical connector -5-.
  • If fitted, disconnect connector for damper control.
  • Take wiper frame -2- with linkage and wiper motor out of plenum chamber.

Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal, observing the following:

  • Adjust wiper arms → Chapter.
