WARNUNG

To reduce the risk of serious injury or death:

• Never allow children or anyone unfamiliar with the vehicle to touch the ignition switch or related parts. Unexpected and sudden vehicle movement may occur.
• Never reach through the steering wheel to the ignition switch or any other control while the vehicle is moving. Having your hand or arm in this area may result in loss of vehicle control, leading to a collision.

A: LOCK, B: ACC, C: ON, D: START

Whenever the front door is opened, the ignition switch illumination lights up if the ignition switch is not in the ON position. The light goes off immediately after the ignition key is turned on or off, or approximately 30 seconds after the door is closed. (For vehicles with ignition switch illumination)

WARNUNG

• Never turn the ignition key to the LOCK or ACC position while the vehicle is moving, except in an emergency. This may cause the engine to stall and result in loss of power steering and brake systems. This may result in loss of steering control and braking function, which may cause a collision.
• Before leaving the driver's seat, always make sure the shift lever is in P (Park), apply the parking brake, turn the ignition key to the LOCK position and take the keys with you to prevent unintended vehicle movement.

HINWEIS

Never use secondary key hole covers. These covers may prevent the vehicle from recognizing the key and prevent the vehicle from starting.
