Gear Shift Linkage Adjustment
The selector lever position (P-R-N-D, etc.) is set by the AT cable. Adjust the linkage after installing the AT or the shift linkage.
PROCEDURE
1. Move the selector lever to position “P”.
2. Raise the vehicle and support it on stands. Remove the engine undershield.
3. Loosen nut (2) of the cable on the shift lever.
* To prevent kinking the cable, always hold the clamp bolt while loosening the nut. If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced, as it will break after some time.

4. Push lever (3) by hand forward to the stop, i.e. in the direction of travel. For the AT, this corresponds to the Park position.
5. Push the cable adjuster rod (4) against the direction of travel (arrow), and in this position tighten the clamp bolt to 10 N·m. Hold the clamp bolt from turning with a second wrench to prevent kinking the cable.
6. Install the engine undershield. Lower the vehicle onto its wheels.
Cable removal and installation
PROCEDURE
1. Unscrew the clamp nut (2).
2. Loosen the nuts (5) on the bracket and remove the bracket

3. Adjust the cable. Refer to the procedure above.
