Electronic Damping Control (EDC)

~1min read

The Electronic Damping Control (EDC) system, available as optional equipment, adapts shock absorber firmness to changing road and driving conditions with virtually no delay.

Sensors constantly monitor changes in speed, vertical body acceleration, brake pressure, vehicle load, steering wheel angle, and accelerator pedal position. Based on this data, the computer sends control signals to the shock absorbers, whose firmness is adjusted by solenoid valves and set to "Firm", "Medium", or "Soft".
