Refueling

NOTE With a range of less than 50 km, the engine may no longer receive sufficient fuel. Engine functions can no longer be guaranteed. There is a risk of property damage. Refuel in good time.

Fuel filler cap

Open

1. Press the rear edge of the fuel filler flap.

2. Turn the fuel filler cap counterclockwise.

3. Place the fuel filler cap in the holder on the fuel filler flap.

Locking

WARNING The tether of the fuel filler cap can be pinched and crushed when the cap is turned. The cap may then not close properly. Fuel or fuel vapors can escape.

There is a risk of injury or property damage. When closing the cap, make sure the tether is not pinched or crushed.

   Place the cap on the filler neck and turn it clockwise until it clicks audibly.

   Close the fuel filler flap.

Manually unlocking the fuel filler flap

For example, in the event of an electrical fault.

Have the fuel filler flap unlocked by a manufacturer service partner, another qualified service partner or a specialist workshop.

Observe when refueling

General

When refueling, hang the fuel nozzle in the filler pipe. Lifting the nozzle during refueling leads to the following:

• Premature shut-off.
• Reduced recovery of fuel vapors.

The fuel tank is full when the nozzle shuts off for the first time.

Observe the safety regulations posted at filling stations.

NOTE Fuels are toxic and aggressive.

Overfilling the fuel tank can damage the fuel system. Contact with painted surfaces can damage them. The environment is harmed.
