1 Status display field:

► Audio and video systems:

radio, CD player, TV

► Telephone:

network operator name, network search or name of the mobile phone registered in the vehicle

► „Car Phone“:

voice connection for emergency call available, if access to BMW Assist services is blocked

► „BMW Assist“:

voice connection to BMW Assist available

► "Online" or "GPRS Online":

connection to BMW Online available

2 Audio equipment switched off or traffic information broadcast status:

► „TP“:

broadcast switched on

► „T“:

traffic information broadcast switched off, but road traffic radio messages are received

► Empty field:

road traffic radio messages are not received

3 Traffic information reception status:

► "TMC":
traffic information for the navigation system is received and its reception is switched on

► "TI+":
Traffic info + information is received and its broadcast is switched on

4 Status display field:

► there are new entries in the "Calls not accepted" list
►roaming

5 connection available; if a mobile phone is registered, calls can be made

mobile network signal strength, depends on the mobile phone

6 Time

Other indications:

if there is a message from the automatic diagnostic system and voice control is active, a notification appears in this line instead of the status information.
