Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Airbags

Sit at a sufficient distance from the airbags. Hold the steering wheel only by the rim, at the three and nine o'clock positions. This will protect your hands and forearms if the airbag deploys.

The space between the occupant and their airbags must remain clear (there must be no people, animals or objects in this area).

Do not use the front passenger airbag cover as a shelf. Make sure the front passenger does not place their feet against the instrument panel. Otherwise, the passenger may suffer leg injuries if the front airbag deploys.

Do not allow passengers to rest their heads against the side or curtain airbags. Deployed airbags may cause injury.◄

Even when all instructions are followed, airbags can cause injury in some cases. The noise of airbag deployment may temporarily deafen people who are sensitive to sound.
