Rear Wiper/Washer (Hatchback Only)

To turn on the rear wiper, press the switch at the end of the lever.

Press the upper part of the switch to activate continuous wiper operation.

Press the lower part of the switch to activate intermittent wiper operation.

Move the switch to the neutral position to turn off the wiper.

Washer

Push the lever toward the instrument panel.

The rear window will be sprayed with washer fluid, and the wiper will perform several cycles.

Caution Reduced visibility may cause an accident, resulting in personal injury and damage to the vehicle or other property. Do not operate the wiper when the rear window is dry or covered with snow or ice. Operating the wiper on a rear window covered with snow or ice may damage the wiper blade, the wiper motor or the window. Before turning on the wiper in low outside temperatures, check that the blade is not frozen to the window to prevent damage to the wiper motor. In subzero temperatures, do not spray the rear window before it has warmed up.

Washer fluid may freeze on the rear window and reduce visibility.

Caution Do not operate the washer for longer than a few seconds, or when the washer fluid reservoir is empty. This may overheat the washer pump, resulting in costly repairs.
