Left part of the scale = engine has not yet warmed up to operating temperature

Center part of the scale = normal operating temperature

Right part of the scale = temperature too high

If the engine coolant temperature rises above the permissible limit, stop the vehicle and turn off the engine. Risk of engine damage. Check the coolant level.
