Automatic Climate Control* - General Information
The Automatic Temperature Control system (FATC) controls the temperature inside the vehicle. In AUTO mode, the system maintains the desired cabin temperature.
Temperature is controlled by the in-car sensor, the coolant temperature sensor, the solar radiation sensor and the ambient temperature sensor.
If the temperature indicator flashes for 5 seconds at 0.5-second intervals right after starting the engine, this indicates a malfunction of the climate control system.
• In this case, the FATC system must be operated manually.
Contact an authorized Chevrolet dealer as soon as possible.

Solar Radiation Sensor The solar radiation sensor is located in front of the windshield defrost nozzles.
In AUTO mode, this sensor responds to sunlight.
Do not cover the sensor, as this may cause incorrect readings.

Temperature Sensor* In AUTO mode, the cabin temperature information received from this sensor is used to adjust the ventilation system.
Do not attach stickers over the temperature sensor, as this will interfere with its operation.
