In the front

The front passenger seat has three anchor points:

  • two A anchors, located between the backrest and the seat cushion of the vehicle seat, marked by a label,
  • one B anchor fixed to the lower rear part of the backrest, for attaching the child seat top tether strap.

In the rear
Saloon

Each rear side seat has three anchor points:

  • two lower C anchors, located between the backrest and the seat cushion of the vehicle seat, marked by a label,
  • one upper D anchor, fixed to the rear shelf, concealed under a cover with the TOP TETHER logo behind the head restraint.
Estate
  • two lower C anchors, located between the backrest and the seat cushion of the vehicle seat, marked by a label,
  • one upper E anchor, fixed to the roof on the luggage compartment side, concealed under a cover with the TOP TETHER logo.
This ISOFIX anchorage system ensures reliable, secure and quick fitting of the child seat in your vehicle. ISOFIX child seats are equipped with two latches that easily lock onto the two anchorages A or C, after the guides (supplied with the seat) have been installed. Some also have a top tether strap that attaches to anchorage B, D or E. To attach this strap in the front seat, raise the vehicle seat head restraint and pass the top tether strap between the head restraint posts. Then attach the hook to anchorage B, and tighten the top tether strap. To attach this strap to the rear seats, remove the vehicle seat head restraint and store it. Lift the cover on the rear parcel shelf (Saloon) or the roof (Estate). Then attach the hook to anchorage D or E, and tighten the top tether strap. Incorrect installation of a child seat in a vehicle compromises the child's protection in the event of a collision. To find out which ISOFIX child seats can be installed in your vehicle, refer to the summary table for ISOFIX child seat locations. CHILD SEAT ADVICE

Incorrect installation of a child seat in the vehicle compromises the child’s protection in the event of a collision.

When installing a child seat using the seat belt, make sure the belt is taut on the child seat and holds the child seat firmly on the vehicle seat.

Always fasten the seat belts or the harness of child seats, keeping slack relative to the child's body to a minimum, even for short journeys.

For optimum installation of a forward-facing child seat, make sure its backrest rests firmly against the backrest of the vehicle seat and that the head restraint does not get in the way.

If you need to remove the head restraint, make sure it is stored or secured to prevent it from becoming a projectile in the event of heavy braking.

Children under 10 years old must not be transported in a forward-facing position in the front passenger seat, unless the rear seats are already occupied by other children or the rear seats are unusable or absent.

Deactivate the front passenger airbag * whenever a rear-facing child seat is installed in the front passenger seat. Otherwise, the child could be seriously injured or killed if the airbag deploys. Installing a booster seat

The shoulder portion of the belt must be positioned over the child’s shoulder without touching the neck.

Make sure the lap portion of the seat belt passes across the child’s thighs.

CITROËN recommends using a booster seat with a backrest, equipped with a shoulder belt guide. For safety, never leave:
  • one or more children alone and unattended in a vehicle,
  • a child or an animal in a car exposed to the sun with the windows closed,
  • keys within reach of children inside the vehicle.

To prevent the doors from being opened accidentally, use the “Child lock” system.

Do not open the rear windows by more than one third.

To protect your young children from the sun’s rays, fit side sunshades to the rear windows. * Depending on destination and local regulations. ISOFIX CHILD SEAT RECOMMENDED BY CITROËN AND APPROVED FOR YOUR VEHICLE

This child seat can also be used in seating positions not equipped with ISOFIX anchorages. In this case, it must be secured to the vehicle seat with the three-point seat belt. Follow the child seat installation instructions in the seat manufacturer’s installation guide. SUMMARY TABLE FOR ISOFIX CHILD SEAT POSITIONS
