Safety notes

This chapter contains important safety precautions for cleaning and vehicle use. Take particular care when using high-pressure cleaning: the adaptive spoiler must be closed, and frameless doors must not be sprayed directly. The electrical components under the vehicle floor also require special attention. When towing a trailer, deactivating Parking Assistance and correctly removing the towbar when not in use are recommended. This chapter clearly shows how simple measures prevent damage and maintain safety, from care to preserving function.

Maintenance

When cleaning with a high-pressure system

• The adaptive aerodynamic stabiliser must be closed.
• Cleaning the underbody is not recommended, to avoid damaging the electric parking brake.
• In the area of the frameless doors, water droplets can enter the interior. Do not spray this area too intensively.
• Do not hold a high-pressure jet on the headlights and lights, or on their edges, for too long, to avoid damaging the paint and the rubber seals.

Towbar

(boat, caravan, etc.)

We recommend having the towbar fitted and removed by a CITROËN Approved Dealer or a qualified workshop.

On steep gradients or when the engine overheats, certain functions are unavailable (automatic gearbox pulse control, air conditioning).

When towing a trailer, deactivate Parking Assistance by pressing the control on the dashboard. See "Parking Assistance".

When no trailer is being used, removing the towbar is recommended so that it does not interfere with the distance sensors.

When towing another vehicle, its wheels must be able to turn freely (gearbox in neutral).
