The position lights and dipped beam headlamps switch on automatically, without driver intervention, when natural light is low or, in some cases, when the windscreen wipers are switched on.

The lights switch off automatically when lighting conditions are sufficient or after the wipers are switched off, and the daytime running lights switch on.

Activation

  • Set the ring to "AUTO".

    A message confirms that the function has been switched on.

Deactivation

  • Set the ring to a position other than "AUTO". A message confirms that the function has been switched off.

Operating fault

If the light sensor is faulty,
the lights switch on, a warning light comes on in the instrument cluster and/or a message appears on the screen, accompanied by an audible signal.
