The control button is located
on the heating or air conditioning control panel.

Activation

Rear screen demisting/defrosting only works when the engine is running.

  • Press the button to switch on rear screen demisting/defrosting and, depending on version, the external rear view mirrors. The corresponding indicator light comes on.

Deactivation

Demisting/defrosting switches off automatically to avoid excessive power consumption.

  • Demisting/defrosting can be switched off before it switches off automatically by pressing the button again. The indicator light goes out.
If the engine is switched off before demisting/defrosting switches off automatically, demisting/defrosting will come on again when the engine is restarted. Switch off rear screen and external mirror demisting/defrosting as soon as possible, as lower power consumption helps reduce fuel consumption.
