Before any work under the bonnet, deactivate the Stop & Start system to avoid the risk of injury from automatic restart in START mode. Due to the electrical equipment in the engine bay, limit contact with water (rain, washing...).The radiator fan may start after the engine has been switched off: take care with objects or clothing that could get caught in the blades.
Opening
Open the front left door.
Pull the internal lever A, located at the bottom of the door trim.
The position of the internal lever prevents the bonnet from being opened while the front left door is closed.
Push external lever B to the left and lift the bonnet.
Release the bonnet prop rod C by holding it by the foam cover.
Engage the prop rod in the groove to hold the bonnet open.
When the engine is hot, handle the external lever and the bonnet prop with care.
Closing
Remove the prop rod from its clip.
Refit the prop rod in its position.
Lower the bonnet and release it near the end of its travel.
Pull the bonnet to check that it is properly latched
