Manual Transmission Oil

GENERAL INFORMATION.

Check the transmission oil level approximately two minutes after

the engine is switched off. The vehicle must be parked on a level, horizontal surface..

Remove the filler plug from the transmission case and check the level

of oil by inserting a finger into the hole. The normal oil level is at

the lower edge of the filler hole. If the oil level is low, add transmission oil to the case and bring the level to the correct height (to the lower edge of the filler hole). Reinstall the filler plug and

tighten it securely..

Warning.

While the vehicle is in motion, the transmission oil heats up to a sufficiently

high temperature, and contact with exposed skin can cause

skin burns. Before checking the transmission oil level, allow the transmission to cool.
